ACCOMMODATIONS Okeshou

We had an amazing stay at Okeshou Hotel in Kinosaki Onsen! The owners were super friendly, spoke great English, and really made us feel welcome. When we arrived, they gave us a helpful overview of the town’s attractions with a map and some pamphlets, which made it easy to plan our visit.

The hotel provides free yukatas, slippers, and an onsen pass for the public baths around town—which was awesome. They also have two private onsen baths right at the hotel (one indoor and one outdoor), which was a really nice touch and super relaxing.

We loved it so much after the first day that we decided to stay an extra night. The staff were so helpful with extending our booking and even called our next hotel to help rearrange things. They truly went above and beyond—we’re really grateful for their hospitality. Highly recommend staying here!

Spacious ryokan that is very near the train station. They have a cute private bath that is over looking the garden. The facilities are old but well maintained and clean.

This ryokan is located at the junction of the roads, along the river and across family mart. We stayed at the Aoi Room that is facing the river and willow trees so beautiful! The meals were super good, we had crab hotpot, tajima beef and kaiseki! All meals were served to the room with superb service, there was a lady whom spoke really good english and it made our communications so fuss-free! Yukata, wooden slippers and basket were provided so that you can enjoy onsen hopping and walking along the river. Rooms were huge without shower facilities, but they have 2 indoor onsen within the ryokan so you can bathe there instead! Highly recommended!

We spent three incredible nights here. We're a couple from Australia and were impressed with the location, size of room, friendliness and the private bath (which we could use together). From memory, the booking process was a little bit difficult online - but it is definitely worth it. All bath house access, yukata and bathing towels are included. The kaiseki dinner was a must also. We have travelled to many countries together, and this town will forever be in the top of our memories. We must give special thanks to our English speaking staff, Hong Gnoc, who was honestly just the sweetest person we have ever met and made the stay so enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Really wonderful ryokan with very kind staff. English support was good. Provided yukata, jacket, basket, and geta. Small vending machine in the downstairs. Close to a family mart. And the private baths are excellent. Can't wait to return.

Checked into this little place for a night. The six of us stayed in their biggest room and it was comfy. Dinner and breakfast were great and we visited three different baths during our stay. Parking is also included and the host will take your car from the front and park it for you. You won’t need your car anyway but they can go get it for you if you need it. Staff was very helpful and if you need another towel you can get one free replacement without additional charges. Two private baths are available inside the ryokan but they only open in the evenings if you don’t feel like walking across the street to the nearest bath.
