Sasazuru Sake

Sasazuru is a sake brewing company that has had roots in Izushi since 1708.

While the outside appearance of the storehouse is well-known amongst locals for its six-layer soil walls (built from soil in Izushi), upon entering the shop visitors will be greeted with the smell of sake and a retro, old-world charm. The local sake from Sasazuru is proudly on display alongside decorated sake containers used for large celebrations.

Multiple flavors and varieties of sake are available to purchase, along with sake-infused sorbet depending on the season.

In addition to purchasing Sasazuru Sake, visitors can also get up close with a traditional rice cooker used in the process of making sake.
