We were very pleased with our stay. The service is amazing, the staff were very accommodating. They provide the yukatas, towels, and probably everything you might need for the onsens.

I believe the hotel was renovated as the photos don’t do it justice - we were pleasantly surprised when we saw it in real life. Our room was spacious, clean and beautifully designed . Highly recommend.

The staff, kaiseki, and location were excellent. We were given clear, concise instructions on etiquette, hotel amenities, town sites, and tips on when to visit each onsen. The building was recently remodeled in 2024. Tranquil views from the dining area and two private baths. Private baths are available for hotel guests in the morning and can be reserved at night. Great location, all onsens within 2-10 min walk. Highly recommend!

Been to Kinosaki twice, this hotel is the best. Newly renovated in 2024 and located in the centre of Kinosaki. Right next two one of the six public onsen. Very convenient. Best Japanese service, staff gave a very friendly introduction to Japanese Onsen etiquette, how to wear Yukata, restaurant recommendation and booking. Breakfast is Japanese traditional Yamato on rice and other tasty side dishes. Will definitely revisit! Highly recommend.

The boutique hotel is located along a canal, which seems to be on the main road of this onsen town. The hotel is clean and peaceful, despite being next to the main road. It has about four floors, and the rooms are decorated in a ryokan style but with Western-style beds. The rooms are spacious and offer a view of the canal in front of the hotel, which is nice but not particularly breathtaking.

Each room has a private bathroom but no private shower. However, the hotel offers a private onsen and sauna that can be reserved in advance for 1.5 hours per session at an additional cost of around 5,500 yen. If you don’t book in advance, you can still reserve on a first-come, first-served basis at the hotel. In the morning, before noon, the sauna and onsen are open to the public.

The hotel does not provide dinner, but breakfast is included and served in a traditional Japanese style, featuring TKG (Tamago Kake Gohan – rice with raw egg and soy sauce), which was delicious and quite filling.

The staff provided excellent service, and one of the male staff members spoke English very well. He was extremely helpful, even assisting in finding and booking a restaurant for us—fantastic service!

The price is quite high, but it’s understandable given the quality and service. Overall, I was very impressed, and I would definitely return if I have the chance.

Boutique hotel ตั้งอยู่ริมคลอง คาดว่าเป็นถนนหลักของ onsen นี้ครับ โรงแรมสะอาด เงียบสงบแม้จะติดถนนหลัก มีทั้งหมดประมาน 4 ชั้น ห้องตกแต่งสไตล์เรียวกัง แต่มีเตียงนอน ห้องกว้างขวาง มีวิวคลองหน้าโรงแรม สวยดีครับ แต่ก็ไม่ได้ว้าวเท่าไหร่ มีห้องน้ำในตัว แต่ไม่มีห้องอาบน้ำในห้องส่วนตัว ทางโรงแรมมีบริการ private onsen และ sauna สามารถจองมาก่อนได้ ใช้ได้ 1.5 ชม/ครั้ง มีค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มเติมประมาน 5500 เยน แต่ถ้าไม่จองมาก็สามารถมาจองที่โรงแรมได้แบง first come first serve ครับ ตอนช่วงก่อนเที่ยง sauna และ onsen จะเป็น public สามารถมาใช้ได้ โรงแรมนี้ไม่มีอาหารเย็นนะครับ มีอาหารเช้าเสริฟแบบญี่ปุ่นเป็น TKG อร่อยดีครับ อิ่มดีครับ พนักงานบริการดี โดยที่พนักงานผู้ชายคนนึงสามารถสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษได้ดีมากครับ บริการดีมาก ช่วยหาร้านอาหารให้ โทรจองให้ด้วยครับ เยี่ยมมากๆครับ ดีที่อย่างเลยครับ แต่ราคาค่อนข้างสูงแต่ก็เข้าใจได้ครับ โดยรวมประทับใจครับ ถ้ามีโอกาสจะกลับมาอีกครับ

お土産を探していたところ、素敵な店構えのこちらのお店を見つけたので立ち寄りました。
城崎土産で有名なだんじり太鼓が、少し大きめのサイズでバラ売りをされていたので、お土産に購入しました。一人暮らしの方などへのお土産は、バラ売りされてると助かります。
オススメの出来たてのあんぱんも購入しましたが、美味しくて電車内であっという間に完食してしまいました笑
お店の方もとても親切で、気持ちよくお買い物が出来ました。また立ち寄りたいお店です。

The hotel is quite new, and good location

城崎温泉の赤石屋旅館にて、新たなプライベートサウナ「白青」と「朱玄」がオープンします。これらのサウナは、SAUNaiDEAが設計監修およびデザインを手掛けました。

城崎温泉は、“まち全体で一つの旅館”という独自のコンセプトを持ち、駅が玄関、通りが廊下、それぞれの旅館が客室、7つある外湯が大浴場という一体感のある街並みで知られています。この度、新設される「白青」と「朱玄」のサウナは、その一環として新たな「床の間」の役割を果たします。

「床の間」とは、日本の伝統的な家屋において、特別なおもてなしをするための場所であり、「とこしえ（永久）」という意味が込められ、家の繁栄を象徴しています。この理念をサウナに取り入れることで、訪れる人々に最高のおもてなしを提供し、サウナで英気を養い、和らぎ、明日への活力を見出していただける空間を目指しました。

新設された赤石屋旅館のプライベートサウナ「白青」と「朱玄」は、「とこしえ」をコンセプトにデザインされており、まるで床の間のような雰囲気を持ち合わせています。これらのサウナは、フィンランドのロウリュの法則を徹底的に追求した本格的なフィンランドサウナであり、サウナ室の壁には、城崎温泉の伝統工芸である麦わら細工を模したデザインを施し、地域の文化と調和した空間を演出しています。

I highly recommend Akaishiya to visitors.

The location: a 5 minute walk from the train.

The rooms: gorgeous tatami room with bed (low to ground, exceedingly comfortable). The welcome: Hiro-San greeted us with great English explanations. The room has an excellent view over the river, with koi, with willows blowing in the breeze. Room comes with toilet and sink; bathing through the onsen.

The inn has two private baths that may be reserved for private use in the evenings. You receive a yukata, tabi, towels and basket, plus a pass, to use at the 7 local public onsen, all with a few minutes walk from the inn.

I believe that it must be recently renovated - everything is spotless, clean and new, including the private onsen. The private onsen has a sauna, cold plunge pool, outdoor chairs, and private bath, with doors that open to outside.

The breakfast is huge and filling. It featured local delight (crab), miso, salad, rice, egg (cooked or raw, to your preference).

I will stay here when I come to Kinosaki again!
