Oyojikan, originally the home of Takeno’s village leader and Kitamae ship owner, is now a free museum and rest space in Takeno that houses temporary exhibitions, a vintage photo gallery, and permanent exhibitions about Takeno’s history.

Kitamaekan Hot Spring & Museum
After breakfast, learn some history about Takeno at the Kitamaekan Museum.

The Kazemachi Museum is a free two-story museum with exhibits explaining the history of the unique geological formations dotting Takeno Beach as well as Takeno’s history as a trading hub. Explanations are also written in English.

Try out the indoor and outdoor hot spring baths along with saunas on the second floor!
