Experience the roots of the Kannabe Highlands: nature, food, and healing

The setting is Mount Kannabe, a large inactive volcano formed by an eruption approximately 25,000 years ago. As a symbol of the Kannabe Highlands, this mountain allows visitors of all ages to experience the history of the earth's landscape.

Though called a mountain, it stands at just 469.5 meters above sea level. Beginners, children, and seniors can all enjoy hiking here with ease.

Hike Mount Kannabe with experienced local guides

Born and raised in the Kannabe Highlands, our passionate local guide will lead you through the terrain shaped by lava flows and help spot subtle details in the forest.

Search for plants and creatures while playing Kannabe Nature Bingo, and enjoy stories rooted in the local area—not just Mount Kannabe, but also the history and special products of the Kannabe Highlands.

Lunch with a panoramic view of the Kannabe Highlands

After reaching the summit, savor the “KANNABE ROOTS BOX” surrounded by breathtaking views. This special lunch features an abundance of local vegetables, packed with gifts nurtured by volcano, earth, and water.

At the summit, complete a calming forest craft with items collected along your hike.

After hiking, refresh yourself in the hot springs

After descending the mountain, relax and refresh while being soothed by the warmth of the volcanic hot springs at Kannabe Onsen Yutorogi.
