Mount Kuruhi

Mount Kuruhi just south of central Kinosaki is a popular spot for local photographers.

Depending on the weather, those who reach the summit viewing platform at 566.6 meters are awarded with either a gorgeous view of Downtown Toyooka and the Maruyama River or an unkai (sea of clouds).

Climb Above The Sea Of Clouds

During the autumn from mid-October to mid-November, hikers will have a high chance of seeing the surrounding landscape blanketed with clouds.

This natural phenomenon occurs during the early morning hours, usually around 5:30 AM.

Please note that the viewpoint from Mount Kuruhi can only be reached by car.
