Kinosaki International Arts Center

Kinosaki International Arts Center (KIAC) is an Artist-in-Residence center focused on performing arts.
Kinosaki has always had a deep relationship with the arts. It was here that the writer Naoya Shiga wrote his famous story ‘In Kinosaki’. KIAC hopes to encourage artistic activities in the town by getting artists and the public involved in workshops, trial performances, talk shows and other events.

The center has a main hall, six studios, and seven residences. It offers residencies and facilities for artists who wish to concentrate on their creative activities as well as to present their works.
