Opened in 1824, bag atelier Kagen has been doing business on Toyooka’s “Bag Street” for almost 200 years.
Originally known for their Willow Craft bags and luggage cases, Kagen is now known for not only their traditional willow bags, but also modern western-style handbags.
While the first floor of Kagen serves as a storefront for its designers, the second floor houses a free-to-view display room of antique willow bags collected by the owners of Kagen over the generations.
