What made this stay truly special was the owner. She speaks English, which makes communication effortless if your Japanese isn't up to par. She clearly puts so much heart into making all of her guests feel welcome and comfortable. You can see it in her small personal touches to every room. I felt completely safe and cared for, which meant so much traveling alone.

The location is ideal—peaceful and quiet, but still close to shops, cafes, and transit. The guesthouse itself is beautiful: clean, cozy, and full of thoughtful Japanese touches like fresh flowers, kitchen amenities, and calming decor. It truly feels like a little retreat.

The modern amenities—especially the washer and dryer, bath, etc.—made things super convenient and homey. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, dishes, tools, etc. for you to try cooking up some local Kinosaki & Toyooka delicacies!! The owners can even give you cooking suggestions. Cooking is one of her many hobbies.

Nodoka Guesthouse was the perfect balance of Japanese charm and comfort. I left feeling rested, refreshed, and grateful. I’d absolutely stay here again.

While we mainly planned to visit Kinosaki Hot Springs and the Kannabe Highlands ski area, the location turned out to be perfect for exploring the entire Tajima region. Having our own parking spot made it easy to get around by car. The area had everything we needed for a family stay - parks, a library, and plenty of restaurants nearby.
The kitchen was definitely a highlight of our stay. My wife loves to cook, so she was thrilled to find it fully stocked with all the cookware and dishes we needed. Another big plus was having the whole place to ourselves - we didn't have to stress about our daughter being a bit noisy now and then.

The privacy really made a difference - our whole family could just kick back and feel at home during our stay. We'll definitely be back for another visit!
