THINGS TO SEE & DO

Take a walk through the Kannabe skies with one of the paragliding schools in Kannabe.

Paragliding
There are a few paragliding schools in Kannabe where you can take half or full day lessons. Some schools also offer two day courses. You will receive full safety instructions by professional paragliders. For those wishing to fly a little higher (about 530m - 720m), tandem flights are also available. Courses are available from March to November.
Points of Interest
Instructions
First you will learn the basic terms and commands given by the instructors when you are in flight.
Pre-flight Practice
You will practice running and get a feel for how the wing works in lifting you up.
Solo flight practice
Instructors will take you up the mountain side, this is a steep climb so good shoes are needed. You will then run down the slope creating a forward momentum and lift causing the wind to inflate and lift you off the ground.
Instructors will be at the top and base of the hill to help guide you.
Watch those landings
Instructors at the bottom of the slope will help guide you in for landing and assist with your equipment.
Depending on the school, course, weather and your progression you may get the chance to do a solo flight from higher up the mountain.
