After picking up a rental car in front of Kinosaki Onsen Station, take it slow with a morning drive down to Tanto Farming Village, home to over 1 million tulips at the annual Tanto Tulip Festival in spring!
Take some commemmorative photos of the incredibly detailed flower art, and even become a part of the artwork yourself with a stroll through the rows of tulips!
On the way back to Kinosaki Onsen, make a pitstop for lunch in Izushi Castle Town, home to the local delicacy Izushi Sara Soba (buckwheat noodles).
This dish is traditionally served on five porcelain plates, but eating a total of 20 plates for men and 15 for women in one sitting is customarily viewed as a commendable achievement in Izushi.
